The Prince of Wales plans to participate in the United Nations climate conference in Brazil next month, as announced by the royal household.

Prince William and King Charles made a joint appearance on Thursday night at a gathering preceding the environmental conference, which is scheduled to take place in the Amazonian city of Belém.

The royal pair were present at the museum gathering, marking an unusual joint appearance at a pre-COP30 gathering arranged together with the UK government.

Environmental Advocacy Dedication

The King has been a longstanding advocate of protecting nature - and Prince William has inherited the mission, with his own climate innovation awards, which will be hosted in Rio before the UN meeting.

Royal sources have described William's involvement at the forthcoming conference as taking on an important role in "global climate discussions".

Recent Engagements

The King and Prince of Wales, making a joint entrance in the official car, were greeted attendees such as environmentalists, scientists, environmental activists, foreign representatives and politicians.

This engagement included speaking together with French leader Macron of the French Republic and other world leaders at the Blue Economy and Finance Forum in Monaco during the current year.

Earthshot Awards Connection

The UN meeting will align with the prince's own sustainability recognition program, which will wrap up in Rio de Janeiro the day before he joins the climate conference on the sixth of November.

Recently the royal figure described the prize competitors as "contemporary champions".

Royal Climate Legacy

The King has been a influential participant at previous climate summits, providing the introductory remarks in Dubai for the 28th Conference of Parties, including the reminder: "The Earth does not belong to us, we belong to the Earth".

"Throughout my life I've dedicated a substantial portion of my life trying to raise awareness about the critical dangers confronting humanity over global warming, environmental shifts and ecological decline," the sovereign addressed delegates.
